This event is a collaboration between Berklee Alumni Affairs, MusiCares, & General Assembly.

More and more entrepreneurship has become a part of the mainstream conversations around the nation’s workforce. With more opportunities in a variety of industries, folks are forgoing traditional pathways in favor of being the CEO of their own career. While this is new to some industries, the music industry has always leveraged freelancers; however the context of our larger workforce coupled with changing economic structures means an ever-changing landscape to navigate.

Join General Assembly, Berklee Alumni, and MusiCares for a session introducing several local and national resources entrepreneurs can leverage to support the life part of “work-life” balance. From healthcare to financial planning, proactive awareness of resources and changes that can impact us is our best strategy to ensure we are able to give our best selves to the work-life we want to create.

The information sessions will begin promptly at 6:30, so please plan to arrive a bit early.

Community Health Presentation: Andres Sanchez, Community Clinic Association of Los Angeles County (CCALAC) - CCALAC is an association that is composed of community clinics in Los Angeles County with over 300 sites. CCALAC provides capacity building and training assistant to clinic staff in order serve their patients better. The community clinics provide a variety of services to underserves communities, low-income families and adults in the areas of primary care, dental, vision, mental health, substance use, and specialty care such as HIV and gender health. In addition, our clinics provide supportive services such as case management, benefits counseling, health education, patient navigation, and nutrition education.


Digital Marketing Presentation: Anne Marie Chadima, Muza Marketing, LLC, has been in the media advertising field for the past 6 years and contributed to various roles from out of home media buying in Asia Pacific to integrated media strategy here in Los Angeles for the global Xbox account. Anne Marie is passionate about bringing the affordability and strategy of digital marketing to the creatives


Financial Literacy Presentation: Jordan Mangaliman serves as the president and co-founder of GoldLine Insurance and Financial Services. He has successfully helped hundreds of business owners, families and individuals build and protect their wealth. As an entrepreneur himself, he understands the many financial challenges of launching and growing a start up business. Join us for a brief but informative workshop on managing your finances as an entrepreneur, covering: Savings tips, retirement vehicles, building an emergency fund and more.


AB-5 Q&A: Jordan Bromley is the leader of Manatt’s entertainment transactions and finance practice. His experience lies in recognizing talented artists, individuals and companies; developing strategy to achieve their long-term success; and protecting their interests by rigorously negotiating and drafting the agreements that form the basis of their business relationships.
